Whether you're building a new flower bed, need a retaining wall around your patio, or want to build a water feature, having experienced contractors who know what they are doing is the most important part of your job. Once you give us a call you can leave the rest to us.

Retaining walls using stone blocks are a beautiful addition to your landscape design for flower beds and patios. We build walls out of block most of the time, but we also build wood and steel frame walls. Keep all your topsoil or stone protected and contained with a properly built wall.

Your Retaining Wall - Built to Last

With proper considerations of the conditions of your property and what you'll need your wall to stand up to, we put together the best possible base, structure, and cohesion to make sure your retaining wall will be as strong and long lasting as possible.

If a wall is not built correctly, it will succumb to the elements over time and will be subject to the movement of the surface earth underneath the foundation. We ensure that we dig our bases as deep as necessary to ensure that your wall will stand up to whatever happens underneath.

We also use the proper cloth lining on the inside to keep everything contained where it needs to be with no seepage coming through. n top of that, we use block braces and highly cohesive block glue to hold everything in place. Your retaining wall should last for at least 10 years before needing a potential rebuild. However, we aim for 20-25 years of rock solid durability.

Types of Retaining Walls

Gravity Retaining Wall

  • Focuses only on gravity and weight of the blocks themselves on not on anchors or glue

Cantilevered Retaining Wall

  • This type of wall uses the weight of the material on the inside of the structure to make sure the wall doesn't tip over. There is a base section underneath the wall that is attached using steel pins to keep it in place.

Sheet Piling Retaining Wall

  • These walls are thinner and are designed for softer soil. They drive directly into the ground and need to be at a 1:3 counterbalance ratio

Anchored Retaining Wall

  • Anchored walls are secured by driving steel stakes into the ground behind it. Or they use clips on the back of the blocks to hold them tighter to each other.
